Standard columns are 48" and 18" high. Optional custom heights are available, with twin-wheel casters or Super Spikes. The columns are designed to be easily filled with sand to eliminate high frequency metalic colorations. Their tremendous rigidity prevents low frequency resonances caused by loud bass notes from setting up within the rack. The shelves are available in crystal clear or onyx black acrylic. Standard sizes are 16" deep by 24" wide by 1" thick and 22" deep by 36" wide by 1" thick (accommodates televisions up to 35"). An optional cable management channel is also available. Perhaps the biggest reason for the IMPERIAL's stunning musicality is the use of a thick super-dead acrylic for the shelves. This acrylic, in one inch thickness, maintains rigidity and dissipates midrange and high frequency resonances as heat, not allowing these resonances to get to the component on the shelf where it could become electromechanical noise. Build your rack vertically and/or horizontally to suit your needs. The racks can be used individually or interlocked. An adjustment guage is provided. C-182
